Avoid that Jet Lag : A backpackers Exprience


After several hours of a long journey and several stop over’s, any traveler is bound to experience some level of jet lag.  A majority of the travelers cannot do anything after a long hour flight.  The body reacts in different ways due to change of time zones a fact that can affect the first few days of your trip to Kenya.   We emphasize several tips which will help you relieve the jet lag. 

Catch some sleep
If you are having a long trip and arriving in the morning, try and catch as much sleep as you can.  Most lights have got enough leg room that allows for someone to stretch their legs.  Airlines like the Kenya airways, Virgin Atlantic will offer travelers a through blanket that is warm enough for the night.

Enjoy Kenya’s Sun
For those that arrive during the day, ensure that you enjoy the sun. This will enable you wake up.  Nothing can be more reliving that a good sunny morning in Nairobi city.  This however is only possible during the hot seasons. 

Drink lots of water
The atmosphere insight the airplane is normally dry and not as moist as on earth.  That dehydrates the body, more the reason why it is advisable for travelers to drink lots of water at least 8-10 oz, every hour you are in the plane.   
On arrival it is also advisable that one continues to drink as much water till the body has adjusted to the new weather and or climate.
